ABOUT THE HARVEY PROJECT
I have a problem: I can't leave well enough alone.
I'm Paul Harvey, and The Harvey Project is where I document the things I build, test, fix, modify, and occasionally break while figuring out what actually works.
BUILD. TEST. LEARN. REPEAT.

WHAT IS THE HARVEY PROJECT?

I've never been particularly good at sticking to one thing.
Over the years I've started businesses, closed businesses, built things, bought equipment I had no idea how to use, learned new skills because I needed them, and spent an unreasonable amount of time solving problems that probably could have been left alone.
The Harvey Project is where all of that lives.
You might find me modifying a laser one week, designing a functional 3D print the next, testing a new printer after that, or digging into the numbers behind a business experiment.
There isn't one specific niche. The projects are the niche.

BUILD TEST LEARN REPEAT
BUILD.
Turn an idea or problem into something real.
TEST.
Put it to work and find out whether it actually does what I thought it would.
LEARN.
Figure out what worked, what didn't, and what I'd change next time.
REPEAT.
Take what I learned and move on to the next experiment.
That's really the entire idea behind The Harvey Project. I'm not documenting finished products after I've figured everything out. I want to document the process of figuring it out.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS?
I'm Paul Harvey, a serial entrepreneur and compulsive problem solver from southern West Virginia.
My business history is a little all over the place—I've worked in entertainment, retail, food trucks and restaurants, printing, manufacturing, and a handful of other ventures and experiments along the way.
These days, a lot of my projects revolve around lasers, 3D printing, UV printing, fabrication, product development, and small-business experiments. But if something interesting comes along tomorrow, there's a pretty good chance I'll try that too.
I don't claim to be an expert at everything you'll see here. In many cases, you're watching me learn it in real time.
That's kind of the point.

NO GURU BULLSHIT
You're not going to find rented Lamborghinis, screenshots of questionable revenue numbers, or promises that I've discovered the secret to passive income.
When something works, I'll show you what worked. When something doesn't, I'll show you that too. If I spend money on a machine and regret it, that's probably more useful to know than pretending every purchase was a great decision.
Some projects will succeed. Some will fail. Some will turn into businesses. Others will end up as a half-finished prototype sitting on a shelf.
The goal isn't to always be right. It's to learn something worth carrying into the next project.

SEE WHAT I'M WORKING ON
Every project gets its own file documenting what I built, how I tested it, what I learned, and where you can find the related videos or files.
